Horses benefit from regular dental care throughout their lifetime.
Horses should have bi-annual or yearly dental examinations. Dental care plays a vital role in ensuring proper chewing and nutrition as horses age.
Floating and Other Dental Procedures
We perform in-clinic and mobile dental care. Floating (or dental rasping) is generally performed yearly for adult horses according to their needs. Oral examinations are performed as needed or as a part of our bi-annual or annual physicals.
Dental Procedures Are Performed for:
- Sharp/broken and long teeth, hooks,
- Chewing problems
- Infected teeth, and gums, periodontal disease
- Wave mouth (unbalanced teeth)
